Showroom Consultations

View surface depth, gold movement, panel relief and bespoke gypsum art ideas in person before committing to a commission.

What a showroom visit is for

Photographs and sample cards both misrepresent hand-applied finishes, in opposite directions. An image flattens depth and sheen; a small card exaggerates texture because the pattern is compressed into a few centimetres. Seeing a finish at a usable size, under light you can move around, resolves questions that neither of those can.

The things worth checking in person are the ones that change with light: how far a polished plaster reflects, how much movement a marble effect actually has, how a metallic shifts as you walk past it, and how much relief a cast panel or gypsum piece really has once it is on a wall rather than in a photograph.

It is also the practical stage for narrowing choices. Bringing a paint colour, a tile, a piece of stone or a photograph of the room lets a finish be compared against what it will sit next to, which is usually more decisive than comparing finishes against each other.

Where a finish is being considered for a specific wall, samples can be prepared in the chosen colour and taken to the room, since the light in the space is ultimately what the decision rests on.

Consultations cover surface depth, gold and metallic movement, panel relief and bespoke gypsum art. Call 07454 505140 or use the form to arrange one.
