Specification
Finish direction, room use and installation constraints reviewed before samples are selected.
A specification route for designers, architects, developers and hospitality teams ordering luxury samples, panels and bespoke decorative finishes.
Trade and specification enquiries are handled differently from private projects, because the questions are different: what a finish can do, how it is detailed, what the substrate requires, and what has to be co-ordinated with other trades on site.
For a specification we generally need the substrate and its condition, the area involved, the exposure the surface will face, and the programme it has to fit. Exposure in particular - water, traffic, handling, cleaning regime - determines the sealing specification more than the appearance does.
Where a finish is being specified rather than chosen, samples can be prepared to a stated colour and finish level, and the detailing at junctions, movement joints and changes of substrate can be set out before it goes into a package.
For projects running to a programme, the constraint is usually curing and phasing rather than application. Layered systems need time between coats and a final cure before full use, which is easier to plan around at specification stage than on site.
Designers, architects, developers and hospitality teams can use the form to open an account or to discuss a specific specification.
